  • What raw materials is used in making of a woolen carpet?
  • Wool is the basic material needed in making carpets. Special care is applied to obtain extra long fiber to give additional strength and a longer life to the carpet. To maintain our quality, we use New Zealand and Tibetan wool in weaving our carpets. They are available in the following composition:
    100% pure New Zealand wool, 100% pure Tibetan wool and combination of New Zealand and Tibetan wool. Combination of Tibetan and/or New Zealand wool and silk

  • What type of carpets do you manufacture ?
  • We manufacture carpets in the following quality:
    100 knots 60 knots Hemp
    80 knots 40 knots Saggy
    Super 60 Knots Allo Sumak

    Carpets with pure Chinese silk, artificial silk/ viscose, banana silk, cactus, jute, etc.
  • What type of dye do you use in the carpets ?
  • We use fast non-toxic chemical dyes such as the superior quality AZO free dyes and chemicals to dye the wool for the production of our carpets. We also produce carpets with vegetable dyes at customer’s request. Color fastness is guaranteed by using 100% Swiss dyes stuff.

  • How do I order carpet/s ?
  • Contact us to receive our color chart. At your request, we can also make a 30x30 cm (or in any other size) samples of carpets in knot densities and wool combinations of your preference before you order, for your evaluation.   • How do I find the rates of the carpets?
  • Please email us or fax us at +977-1-5590816 to inquire about the rates. We reply to every enquiry promptly. Our rates are, unless otherwise specified, usually FOB Kathmandu. They do not include any shipping, handling and insurance charges.

  • What does FOB Kathmandu rate mean ?
  • FOB is an INCOTERMS (International Commercial Terms), which is a universally recognized set of definitions of international trade terms. FOB Kathmandu rate includes the selling price of the good and the delivery of the good on board the vessel at Kathmandu, Nepal. The rate does not include any shipping, handling, insurance charges and customs clearance charges at the buyer's country

  • How can I pay for the carpets?
  • The customer can pay for the carpets by means of a Letter of Credit or by bank to bank wire transfer. As per our country's export regulations, we cannot ship any order without receiving the payment for it in advance. We have to submit an Advance Payment Certificate (APC) at our customs when shipping. The bank, which issues the APC, only does so after receiving the payment in our favor. Payments can be made in US Dollars, UK Pound and Euro currencies.

  • How long will it take to completely produce a finished carpet ?
  • Production time of carpets vary according to their knot density, size and design. An experienced weaver can weave about 40 cm (about 16 inches) of 60 Knots carpet or 10 cm (about 4 inches) of 100 Knots carpet in a day. Generally, we ask the customer to give us 2 months time for custom orders.

  • Which is the preferred shipment mode and how long is the transit period ?
  • We ship carpets by air or by sea, depending on customer preference. Normally we make sea shipment for large bulk or order i.e. order over 500 sq. m to over 5000 sq.ft. in volume. For smaller order we suggest shipment by air or courier service.
    Shipments by sea take 45 to 50 days to reach a European sea port and 50 to 60 days to reach North American sea port. Shipments by air cargo or by a courier services can be delivered within 4 to 7 days in any part of the world
